Dr. Lewis’s interest in dentistry and surgery began early in life. In 1998 and 2002, he completed internships with the National Leadership Forum on Dentistry and Medicine in Houston, Texas. His research there focused on the intersection of medicine and dentistry as it relates to oral cancer, primary healthcare, and pathologic disorders in South Africa. That experience sparked his desire to make oral surgery accessible to all and led to his dedicated pursuit of a career in the field.

Dr. Lewis graduated from Xavier University of Louisiana with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Pre-Med and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in 2007. He continued his education with a General Practice Residency at UCLA Harbor Medical Center and completed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internships at New York Medical College and Jacobi Medical Center. He completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training at New York Medical College.
